David Ellis

Managing Director


David Ellis is a highly experienced solar professional and seasoned business veteran.  David honed his business acumen and pursued his life-long passion for creating value within business relationships based on trust as a serial entrepreneur.David’s greatest satisfaction in his professional life is to develop a long-term relationship between customers, suppliers, service providers and vendors.  Everyone has to win in order to make a profit and achieve success.


Prior to co-founding MassAmerican Energy and taking on the role of its Managing Director, David established the largest residential solar sales and installation company on the east coast, growing Next Step Living’s business from zero to $50 million per year and overseeing over 100 residential solar installations per month.


David started his solar career with SunRun over a decade ago and led its expansion into east coast markets by creating effective partnerships with all major suppliers, installers and developers.

Quincy Vale



Quincy Vale is a co-founder and Manager at MassAmerican Energy, LLC with primary responsibility for the company’s energy programs, business development and oversight of all SREC trading activities. By background, Quincy is a serial entrepreneur, lawyer, general contractor, and financial, regulatory and technical wonk. Quincy has been in the solar business since 1995, working on policy, economics and installations with the Massachusetts DPU and Renewable Energy Trust Fund.  As an attorney with Vale Law pllc, Quincy has worked as counsel for myriad energy companies on clean energy and green building projects, including aspects from permitting through financing, construction, regulatory tomaintenance & operations.


Quincy earned his undergraduate degree in engineering (Dartmouth College), and holds postgraduate degrees from Yale University’s School of Management (M.B.A.), Union University’s Albany Law School (J.D.) and Vermont Law School (M.S.E.L.).  Quincy is admitted to practice law in the States of Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut and before the United States Supreme Court; He is also a licensed real estate broker, and construction supervisor, MA CS # 093511.

Adam Beliveau

Director of O&M



Adam Beliveau is an experienced O&M technician with a diverse background in the solar industry. Adam has been working in Solar since 2012, where he began with NRG Home Solar as a Solar Installer. Soon after, he became an NRG Installation Manager, before moving to SunRun in 2015 as a Project Planner. While at SunRun, Adam was responsible for organizing and dispatching up to 8 residential installation crews throughout Northern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. His responsibilities also included the scheduling and organization for all SunRun Crews, and the handling of any material needs. Adam is a deadline-driven professional with the proven organizational skills to manage projects with safety, quality, and efficiency.     


Adam became a member of the MassAmerican Energy Team in November of 2016. Since then, he has been responsible for all aspects of project management with the company. These responsibilities include: tracking via Data Acquisition system (DAS), on-site repair and maintenance, and coordination with all O&M related suppliers.





Jake Patrisso

Director of Installations


Jake Patrisso is a seasoned Licensed Electrician with over 7 years of experience in the Solar Industry. Jake began his work at PowerPro Electric, before eventually joining SunBug Solar in 2011 as crew leader/Installer. While at SunBug Solar, Jake was tasked with leading crews on the installation of photovoltaic and thermal hot water systems. In 2015, Jake was hired at SunRun as an Electrical Foreman, before quickly being promoted to Senior Electrical Foreman. Jake's main duties for this position included: ensuring company standards and specifications, reviewing and resolving single line diagrams and constructability tasks, and meeting with the branch manager and construction supervisors to ensure safety and quality work on the job site. Jake's most recent employment was with Maximum Solar, where he worked as the Senior Solar Technician of Operations and Maintenance.      


Jake became a member of the MassAmerican Energy Team in July of 2018. Since then, He has worked as the Director of installations, reviewing all electrical engineering designs, and determining the feasibility of array designs.
